As a manufacturer of quality construction connectors, JVI, Inc. needed a web site that would allow them to manage their product data in-house. Using Perl CGI and a MySQL database, I created an engine that auto-generates an administrative interface based on a set of data and interface definitions. This allows for a very flexible interface that can be quickly modified.
The front end user interface uses SHTML directives to call a Perl script that cobbles together each page. Content is generated based on page context derived from the page name and passed query string parameters.
